[0001] The present invention relates to a toy construction set comprising a group of construction elements, each having at least one sphere arranged on the construction element, and where the sphere is connected to other parts of the construction element through a connecting rod, and where the toy construction set additionally comprises at least one element that has a fitting arranged and adapted to receive said sphere, in order to form a spherical joint, and where the cross section of the rod connection, from where it is connected to the sphere and at least a distance from the sphere, is less than the cross section of the sphere, so that it provides a certain degree of freedom for the fitting to rotate around the sphere. [0002] In this way, it is possible, for example, for a child to create constructions, such as toy figures that have articulated body parts. Description of the Related Art [0003] An example of such a toy construction set is known from EP patent application number 856341, which describes numerous separate building elements that can be connected through spherical joints to form an articulated toy figure. [0004] The problem with this type of toy building sets is that it does not provide many different ways to connect the separate elements to each other. [0005] Therefore, in relation to toy building sets there is a constant challenge to provide such building sets that provide the possibility to create many different buildings or figures using the same basic elements. [0006] This is achieved to a certain degree with the toy construction set according to US patent number 579681, which describes many different types of elements that have complementary coupling balls and fittings that can be connected to each other in many different ways to form articulated figures or constructions. Summary of the Invention [0007] The main objective of the present invention is to provide a toy construction set giving the user more different ways to build articulated figures that have different possible movement patterns. This is achieved by the present invention, according to claim 1, which further specifies that the group of construction elements comprises a first and a second type of connecting rods, and in which the first type of connecting rod, at least close to the sphere, it has a cross-section that is relatively larger than the corresponding cross-section of the second type of connecting rod, so that the relatively larger cross-section of the first type of connecting rod reduces the degree of freedom in which the fitting can rotate around a sphere carried by the first type of connecting rod, that the degree of freedom in which the socket can rotate around a ball carried by the second type of connecting rod. [0008] In this way, the same socket can be mounted on two different spheres that are connected to a construction element by connecting rods with different cross sections, and the degree of freedom in which the socket can rotate around one of the balls it will be more limited than the degree of freedom in which the socket can rotate around the other sphere. In this way, with a relatively limited number of different construction elements, it is possible to create many different figures or constructions and, at the same time, provide more different patterns of movements or articulations possible in the figure or construction. [0009] In a preferred embodiment, the connecting rod has a geometric axis of symmetry, and the geometric axis of symmetry extends through the sphere carried by the connecting rod. In this regard, the geometric axis of symmetry may extend preferentially through the center of the sphere. [00010] The group of building elements can comprise at least one building element that has a first and a second type of connecting rods each carrying a sphere. In this way, the same building element can provide more different patterns of movement or articulation. [00011] In this regard, a very simple element can be provided if at least two of the spheres are interconnected by a common connecting rod and, especially, if the common connecting rod has an end that forms the first rod type connecting rod that has its relatively larger cross-section close to one of the spheres, and the other end forming the second type of connecting rod that has its smaller cross-section close to the other sphere. [00012] A toy construction set according to one or more of claims 4, 5 or 6, characterized in that at least one of the construction elements has at least one sphere that has precisely two connecting rods of the first kind that extend from it. In this regard, it is additionally possible that at least one other sphere has only one connecting rod of the second type extending from it. [00013] In an additionally preferred embodiment, the fit is formed by two resilient claws, each having a concave coupling surface that faces the other claw, and that has a spacing that ensures that the coupling surfaces on the two claws are located against the opposite sides of the ball when the socket is mounted on the ball. [00014] In this regard, it is advantageous if the concave coupling faces on the claws extend between the two side faces, and in which the distance between the two side faces, and the cross section of the first type of connecting rods is selected , so that the claws mounted on a sphere carried by two of the first type of connecting rods that have a common geometric axis of symmetry, can rotate only around the common geometric axis of symmetry of the two connecting rods of the first type. Detailed Description of the Modalities [00020] In fig. 2, 3 and 4 different modalities of construction elements are shown according to the present invention. From the description below, it will be evident to the person skilled in the art that many different modalities from those shown in figs. 1, 2 and 3 are possible in order to provide many different possibilities for forming a toy construction, such as a toy figure, or the like. [00021] In figures 2 to 4, the building element has different numbers of balls 1, 2 that are connected to each other through two different types of connecting rods 3, 4 where the first type of connecting rods 4 has a cross section that is larger than the cross section of the second type of connecting rods 3. [00022] The modalities, according to figures 3 and 4, have identical fittings each formed by two claws 5 that have a concave surface 6 designed to provide a pressure fit in any of the spheres 1, 2, so that the slot 5 can slide on any of the balls 1, 2 without being released from the ball 1, 2. In figure 3, the claws are shown in a front view, and in figure 4, the claws are shown in a side view. [00023] In this way, sphere 1, 2 which is connected to a socket will form an articulated spherical joint, so that the building elements allow the possibility of creating numerous articulated or different constructions or figures using a variable number of construction elements according to the invention. [00024] As mentioned above, it will be possible for a person skilled in the art to suggest other modalities that have more or less spheres 1, 2 arranged in many different positions in relation to each other, and are fixed to each other in their relative positions by means of two different connecting rods 3, 4. The two modalities shown in figures 3 and 4 show that the connecting rods 3, 4 are arranged along the same geometric axis of symmetry S shown by the dotted line and, in figure 2, the rods connection lines 3, 4 are arranged along more symmetrical lines arranged in the common plane, with only one shown in the figure. It will be apparent that the person skilled in the art can propose other arrangements of lines of symmetry arranged in dimensions 2 or 3 without departing from the idea of the present invention. [00028] On the other hand, the relatively large cross-section of the connecting rods 4 carrying the sphere 2 in which the claws 5, according to the construction element shown in figure 4, substantially allow only this construction element to rotate around the geometric axis of symmetry S when sliding on the ball 2. [00029] In this way, the building elements, according to the present invention, provide more different options to form a large number of different buildings or figures.

Claims (10) [0001] 1. Toy construction set comprising a group of construction elements, each having at least one sphere (1, 2) arranged on the construction element, and where the sphere (1, 2) is connected to other parts of the element of construction through a connecting rod (3, 4), and where the toy construction set additionally comprises at least one element that has a socket (5) arranged and adapted to receive said sphere (1, 2), the in order to form a ball and socket joint, and where the cross section of the connecting rod (3, 4), from where it is connected to the ball (1, 2) and at least a distance from the ball (1, 2), is smaller than the cross section of the sphere (1, 2), so that it provides a certain degree of freedom for the fitting (5) to rotate around the sphere (1, 2), characterized by the fact that the group of construction elements comprises a first and a second type of connecting rods (3, 4), and the fact that the first type of rod connecting section (4), at least close to the sphere (2), has a cross section that is relatively larger than the corresponding cross section of the second type of connecting rod (3), so that the relatively larger cross section of the first type connecting rod (4) reduces the degree of freedom in which the fitting (5) can rotate around a sphere (2) carried by the first type of connecting rod (4), than the degree of freedom in which the fitting (5) can rotate around a sphere (1) carried by the second type of connecting rod (3). [0007] Toy construction set according to any one of claims 4 to 6, characterized in that at least one of the spheres (2) has precisely two connecting rods (4) of the first type extending from the same.
