The invention relates to a device for producing a supply roll of a compressed sealing strip of an open-pored, covered on one side with a self-adhesive cover sheet foam tape with a winding core for the supply roll receiving winding mandrel, with a support roller for the pressure on the winding mandrel roll of the supply roll and with one of the support roller upstream feeder for the foam tape. In order to compress sealing strips of an elastically compressible, open-cell foam and to wind supply rolls, it is known (DE 24 10 121 A1) to laminate a foam tape on one side with a cover sheet and wound with the laminated cover sheet under a tensile load on a winding core wherein the tensile load of the cover sheet on the outside of the winding provides for a radial pressure component between the winding core and the cover sheet. The finished supply roll is then wound several times to secure with an excess length of the cover sheet. A particular disadvantage is that the tensile load leads to an elastic elongation of the cover film, so that when using a compressed in this way sealing tape, the provision of the elastic strain must be considered. An expansion of a compressible foam tape with laminated cover sheet is avoided in another known winding device for producing supply rolls of compressed tape (DE 26 47 942 A1) characterized in that the winding core of the supply roll against a stationary mounted, driven support roller is guided during the winding process radially so in that the smallest gap between the support roller and the already formed winding ensures a corresponding compression of the foam tape. Because of the lack of a larger tension, however, the achievable compression of the foam tape remains limited in the supply roll. The invention is therefore based on the object, an apparatus for producing a supply roll of a compressed sealing strip of an elastically compressible, open-cell foam tape, which is covered on one side with a self-adhesive cover film, so that the laminated cover sheet none of the use of the sealing tape impairing strain is exposed without having to do without a comparatively high compression of the sealing strip in the supply roll. Based on a device of the type described, the invention solves the problem set by the fact that the support roller on the feed side of the winding core is associated with a pressure roller, that the narrowest gap between the support roller and the pressure roller a common guide for the incoming from the feeder, on one side a self-adhesive layer with a removable protective cover having foam tape and on the other hand for withdrawn from a take-off roll, on the side facing away from the self-adhesive layer supplied, self-adhesive cover sheet and that are provided for the protective covers of the self-adhesive layer and the self-adhesive cover sheet take-up rolls. During the short guidance of the compressed foam tape to the winding of the supply roll along the support roller, the cover sheet remains substantially free of tension, wherein the foam tape can hardly relax within the deflection between the pressure roller and the winding of the supply roll along the support roller. The foam tape can thus be supplied in compressed form to the winding forming on the winding core of the supply roll. Particularly advantageous construction conditions arise when the unwinding roll for the self-adhesive cover sheet is provided on the side facing the support roller of the foam tape, wherein the take-up roll for the protective cover of the self-adhesive cover sheet whose take-off roll and the take-up roll for the protective cover of the self-adhesive layer of the pressure roller are arranged downstream. In this case, namely, the cover sheet in the deflection region between the pressure roller and the forming roll of the supply roll can be performed without stress on the support roller fitting, because the elastic restoring forces of the compressed foam tape act radially outward. Although different constructive solutions are possible for the relative to the stationary mounted support roller radial guidance of the winding mandrel, an embodiment of the preference is given, which is characterized by the storage of the winding mandrel for the supply roll on a loadable with a Andrückmoment swivel arm.
